Dessert Tray by Wayne Thiebaud created in 1992-1994. Wayne Thiebaud is known for still-life paintings of dessert foods. The painting is oil on board and 19.25 x 19.4. The painting uses thick oil paint in pastel colors. The food is textured as if you could feel every crumb and cream. For the creamy textures he uses a knife to give the "frosting" effect. I picked this painting because it reminds me of a display dessert tray that you could find at a diner. The pastel colors are eye catching with the textures.
