Paul Gauguin--The Painter of Sunflowers

Paul Gauguin painted The Painter of Sunflowers in 1888 as an oil painting on canvas. This was a portrait of Vincent Van Gogh painting what is now what is considered to be one of his masterpieces. What drew me to the painting was that this is a portrait of a person, but he is not centered in the painting, but off to the side. In addition, Vincent is not what stands out in the painting, in terms of color choice, it is the sunflowers and the background.
