I really like this painting because it was one of the first ones that I learned about when I was a child, and the meaning has stuck with me. It was done by Salvador Dali in 1931. He titled it The Persistent of Memory. It is a great representation of a surrealist painting. You can see this by the metamorphosis in the clocks from the solid state to the liquid state. Also, the object in the middle is suppose to be a self portrait. I also learned that this painting is much smaller than I thought. It is about the size of a sheet of paper.
