Salvador Dali is my favorite painter because he uses a lot of bright colors. He paints a lot of animal scenes and scenes of nature. This is one of my favorite paintings because it is very simple and calm. I like how there are minimal colors, which makes the rose really stand out. The background shows a desert like area with mountains in the back. His use of shadows help him to portray the depth of this background and keep an emphasis on the rose.
