This painting was done in 1890, by Vincent and I choose this painting because when I first saw it I thought that it was very simplistic compared to other painting that Van Gogh has done, the sky is less busy and the church is simple. This painting was done when Van Gogh was sick, but he painting things from memories that he had, This was on of them. I also really like how there is often people in his paintings, but their faces aren't frequently shown.
