Two Jolly Cones - Wayne Thiebaud
This is an oil on board painting by Wayne Thiebaud, who painted it in 2002. I chose this painting because it is very whimsical, as is most of Thiebaud's portfolio. This fun style of paintings makes his art more interesting than that of other artists' because they draw you in. He paints things that some artists would never think of painting, such as these cute cones. He also makes impressive shadows in this painting, which creates dimension.
