Irises

Irises is a 1889 painting by Van Gough. It is one of the first paintings that he created after being admitted to Saint-Paulde-Mausole, an asylum at Saint-Remy. There he found the isolation a good environment to create his artwork. This piece seems to have occurred early on before his first attack, you can see that he painted the flowers with admiration and joy. I really like the colors he used and how lively the garden appears.
