A Boy with a Pipe - Rose Period

Pablo Picasso's Rose Period lasted two years, from 1904 to 1906. This was a time in which he used soft, almost cheerful hues and tones such as pink, orange, and red in his masterpieces as opposed to the dark, melancholy colors of his previous Blue Period. The painting above, A Boy with a Pipe, encompasses Picasso's Rose Period as the painting is more pleasant to look at and analyze because of its warm tones.
