This painting is called Garcon a la pipe created by Picasso during the Rose Period in 1905. This painting shows a boy holding a pipe in his had while wearing a wreath of flowers. The rose period started in 1904 after Picasso's blue period which was about a depressing time. The rose period however is a more pleasant time as he painted lighter things using lighter colorers such as pinks. The rose period lasted form 1904 to 1906 as he was in a relationship with Fernande Olivier.
