April Gornik--Snowfall

This painting, called Snowfall, was made my April Gornik in 2014, which is the most recent out of all of the painters we have covered so far. This painting is oil paint on linen. I chose this painting because I was very intrigued about the colors used. It is obviously a painting of the snow, but is not predominantly white, grey, and blue, like many paintings of snow are. I also really liked the difference of the trees that are closer to the artist versus the ones that are farther away. The painting looks very three-dimensional because of this.
