Cottages at North Truro by Edward Hopper

The above painting entitled Cottages at North Truro by Edward Hopper was painted in the town it was named for North Truro, in the year 1938. born July 22, 1882, in Nyack, New York, and he died May 15, 1967. during his life, Edward Hopper painted many works. I chose this one because I liked the way it depicts train tracks by what appears to be a dirt road. despite his beautiful skills with watercolors Hopper is very well known for his work with oil paint. while looking for a water colorwork I realized I had seen his oil paintwork before.
