coast guard boat

I admire this painting by Edward Hopper because of the details and the colors used. Hopper once stated, "To me the most important thing is the sense of going on,” he once articulated of his peripatetic impulse.” “You know how beautiful things are when you’re travelling” (Gail Levin, Hopper’s Places, Berkeley, California, 1998, p. 8)." I find this quote interesting because often times when we travel, we don't really stop to embrace everything. These paintings encompass the beauty of travelling and the wonders of nature that we sometimes take for granted.
