Rembrandt: The Storm on the Sea of Galilee



This painting is called The Storm on the Sea of Galilee, it was created in 1633. This painting was kept in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston until it was stolen in 1990. It has never been found. This is the only seascape created by Rembrandt and it is supposed to depict the miracle of jesus calming the storm. This scene is decribed in the fourth chapter of the Gospel of Mark.
