Light Before Heat

Light before heat by April Gornik is an oil on canvas. The painting depicts a pink and blue sky reflected in a body of water that is intersected by a green peninsula. Gornik pants landscapes throughout America and is passionate about nature which is why she incorporates it into her work.  The painting was done in New Haven in 1984 and is now owned by the Parish Museum in Water Mill, New York.
