Edward Hopper Watercolor - Marshall's House

Marshall's House

Edward Hopper's "Marshall's House" watercolor painting depicts his neighbor's house in Cape Cod. It was painted in 1932. This painting interests me because even as a watercolor, the colors are sharp and distinct. The small details in this painting are also very distinct, such as the grass and the shadows on the house. Watercolors, in my opinion, are very soft and subtle most of the time, and Hopper used a great technique in his watercolor masterpieces.
