Mirror Lake is an Oil on Linen 74"x92" painting made by April Gornik in 1999. April Gornik is an American who was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953 and now lives in Long Island, New York. This Painting uses the colors of reds, blues and browns to give an image of the sky reflecting upon deep waters. I chose this painting because of the strong reflection of the pink clouds mixing with the dark waters making it turn into a dark plum shade. I enjoy how fluffy and light the clouds look in the sky which shows proper atmospheric shading as it goes higher to the sky.
