This watercolor is Roofs on the Cobb Barn, painted by Edward Hopper in 1931. His paintings were based off of what he saw in the Northeast. Here, he is in Cape Cod. In this painting, the contrast between the rigid lines of the building and the flowing mountain landscape is intriguing. Many of his paintings are solely buildings, but the mountains in the background are what drew me to this painting. In addition, the painting is very simple, but is not lacking in detail.
