Gornik is known for her American landscapes. She creates
realistic pieces with a dreamlike quality. Mirrored Trees was created in 2000.
Its an oil on linen painting. I choose this painting because I like the use of
light and colors. As I looked through her paintings, I saw how she use reflection(mirroring)
a lot. She is very good at this technique making everything symmetrical. I like that in the painting you can tell apart
the sky from the water.
