Picasso Rose Period

Picasso's rose period only lasted a few years between 1904 and 1096. During this time he used mostly only red, oranges and pinks. The reason why he used these colors was to contrast his previous period where he used blues. Although the blue period is more popular, the Rose period holds more significance because this is when he started to develop his artistic style. I chose this painting titled "Acrobate et Jeune Arlequin" which translates to "Acrobat and Young Harlequin". This painting represents his themes of the circus, and this was important because it showed their importance in society where they typically were mocked.
