Jo Sketching at Good Harbor Beach: Edward Hopper

This is a painting named "Jo Sketching at Good Harbor Beach" by Edward Hopper. In the painting there is Edwards future wife Josephine Nivison who he would marry a year later after this painting was created. She would appear in many of future works of Edward and was actually the person who pushed him to do watercolors in the first place. The painting scenery involves a beach in Cape Cod, Massachusetts with tints and shades of blue, green and brown. I personally really enjoy these piece of artwork because I feel that it captures a very peaceful and happy time in Hoppers life. I love watercolors and the skill needed to make the buildings at the distance is amazing.
