This painting is "Approaching the Night" by April Gornik. I chose this painting because in my opinion, the painting really captures the moment at hand that April saw. Clouds change very quickly, and the fact that she was able to capture the shape of the clouds at that very moment shows the capability of the artist. the way that the sun set is coloring the clouds is extremely realistic as well and I feel as if Im looking at this scene myself, and I feel the serenity of the mountains and setting of where the artist is.
